MTS is all about safe, non-motorized trail access.  We encourage you to use the trails safely.  After your hike, please email us a story and photo with information on the trail conditions for our blog!  Thank you!

Hiking Safety

* Respect nature and its creatures, enjoy it but leave it undisturbed

* All trails are use at your own risk, always go prepared

* Plan your outing, always tell someone when and where you are going

*Never hike alone on remote trails

* Check weather, road, and trail conditions before heading out

* Always bring a safety kit, clothing for change of weather, cell phone, water and snacks

* Appropriate gear for your chosen activity can make all the difference (such as good fitting hiking boots)

* Make sure your vehicle is appropriate for rough, non-highway roads that access trails

*Do not access trails via active logging roads (unless you have a 2-way radio)

* Watch for wildlife, avoid areas that show signs of bear and cougar

* What goes in with you comes out with you, never leave garbage
