October 2, we hosted a Naure Walk with the one and only Roseanne Van Ee AKA the Okanagan’s Nature Nut. Everyone who came out had a great time and learned a lot about ecosystem on the Salmon Trail.
We learned about Horse Tail Plant, Plantain Plant, Pineappleweed (and many more plants) and what they have been used for. And many other fun facts as well.
Did you know this area is the eastern most route in B.C. taken by the spawning salmon? Do you know what species of salmon spawns here? Do you know why the leaves change colour in the fall? And many more interesting facts too numerous to mention.
Of course you can Google all the answers to these questions but the fun way to find out is in the great outdoors with a great teacher like Roseanne Van Ee.
